Congratulations to Christian Jensen, the 2010 Tuesday Night Points Series Champion!

The Tuesday Night Race is a handicap pursuit race. Two or three groups depart on 3 to 5 minute intervals depending on turnout and ability levels. The last group tries to catch everyone before the finish. A great way to get in a hard workout, improve your group riding skills and learn about race tactics.

Start time for the PCA and Vanscoy courses is 6:30. Start time for the Wanuskewin course (to give extra time to get to the course) is 6:40. A group ride will be leaving from the Bike Doctor shortly after 6:00.

Points are awarded 1st thru 5th place towards points series.

There are three different courses:

East aka PCA
Meeting spot for the East course is the PCA mine road just off Hwy #16, east of the tracks. The race will head east, turn right (heading south) onto Hwy 316 continue to Clavet, make a left onto the service road, right onto Hwy #16, right onto Hwy # 316, continue to Hwy # 5, left onto the service road, right onto Hwy #5, right onto Hwy # 316, continue to the mine, turn right onto the PCA mine road to the finish line.

North aka Wanuskewin aka Cathedral Bluffs
Meeting spot for the North course is in front of the gates at Wanuskewin, which is a few km's east of Warman road, just south of Highway #11. The race heads east through Cathedral Bluffs estates. Turn around where the pavement turns to gravel and return to Wanuskewin. It's a 13km loop and we will do 4 laps. Because the start location is a little further for most people, we will start at 6:45 instead of the usual 6:30.

West aka Vanscoy
Meeting spot for the West course is the Esso at the corner of 11th St W. and Highway 7. The race starts on Township Road 364, which is what 11th St. W turns into once it crosses Highway 7. The race heads West along Township Road 364 until highway 672, where we turn left and head South towards Vanscoy. Turn around at Vanscoy (turn left on the service road, take the second left back to the highway).
